Here lately I have been doing alot of research on marketing my Furniture restoration and repair business, and what I'm finding is the same ole same ole bullshit that has been going on for decades if not longer.
I am trying too hard to find something that appeals to me. Marketing cost soooo much money. Because of this I have decided to "reinvent " Invention....or to put it more closed minded, take a concept and start over with the whole thing.
The concept of removing "concept" and labels is way out there and I'm expecting most of you to think I have lost it but, I'm so tired of everything being the way it is, we all follow templates whether we know it or not. We are all told what to eat , what to buy, what to drive. Ads on TV, radio, in the newspaper, on the Internet, signs on the side of the road, people holding signs on the sidewalk...and on and on. I don't want those traditional expensive ways limiting my success. My mission is to invent a new strategy of marketing that will revolutionize the industry.
Sounds like a great concept huh? Well let me tell you I have exhausted my brains on this whole idea. How do you create from scratch without any influence from the old ways? I'm not sure I can totally do it, but I sure as hell am going to try.
In case you haven't noticed, our country and our way of life is slowly dying. We need fresh thinking. There is a quote in a book I have read several times that says, "The depression was a blessing in disguise. It reduced the whole world to a new starting point that gave everyone a new opportunity"
If we can let go of the same ole same ole we can change our world. We just need to stop "zoning out" on TV and radio and start thinking. Think and produce, and implement those new and fresh ideas. Create jobs. We have to find creative financing. I have tried to get a business loan recently and its tough. I was told "no" I have a credit score of 715 and was told no by two banks!
There is a way that we can accomplish this change. It requires many minds at one table, creating one invisible mind. This is called a mastermind group. ( It goes much deeper and I wont get into that right now). Our forefathers had groups like these. Andrew Carnegie had 50 members in his, including Henry Ford. Benjamin Franklin was a part of one and just look at what was created from these very successful people. Hell, Henry ford had only a 6th grade education, and Thomas Edison only three months of schooling in his entire life!
I guess my point is, these men changed the world just by thinking about how to change it. It's time for that to happen again. They saved their world and brought prosperity to the entire nation. It's time for our generation to put into motion the change to save or world and our nation by using this so called "depression" we are told we are in to make a new beginning, a chance to start over with fresh new opportunities.
I want to invent a new marketing system for businesses, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. I want to create something never created before. We humans can accomplish anything in our imagination by just thinking. I want to be like the man who created flight, or the automobile, or plastic. These men truly made the world better through implementing thoughts into reality.
I can't do it alone. I need smart individuals with open minds from all walks of life to help me. People with the same desire for creating something the world has never seen. We will go into history like our four fathers if we pull this off. I know that sounds big but big is what we need.
If you haven't read the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill I suggest you read this book and get back with me after. It's not what you think it is. Trust me. It's very enlightening on how to obtain riches. This book is not about getting rich with money its about obtaining your riches whatever they may be.
After you read this book your mind will be awakened to the real world, and how the rich "owners' of the world think. The most successful men in the world have all read this book. Hell they wrote it. Mr. Hill interviewed every tycoon in his day. It took 25 years to write this book. He was commisioned by Mr.Carnegie because he knew that the schools weren't teaching what you truly need to know to be successful. He wanted us to know how to make it happen. All of the secrets they used are in this book. Get into the minds of many great men. You wont be disappointed.
Lets make it happen and fix what has been broken before we all start speaking Spanish or Chinese.

You write to be read and nobody wants to read this because of that. Do you really think a new business can survive with no advertising, it's just common Sence that you can't get customers who don't know you exist. People like to be told what to buy, because it's in our nature. -Sara - business major at Usca
One more comment... Wow I just read your last paragraph! Are you this closed minded for real? Open your mind to learning what great companys have taught us like Mc Donalds and Google. Globalization is going to happen and there's nothing you can do about it. The only way for us to substain our wealth is to get off our lazy butts. We need to learn math, and learn different languages so we can compete in this new age. Okay I'm done. Gosh can you just stop sounding so ignorant. There are lots of stupid people, and this is nothing new.
Sara Thanks for posting. That last paragraph might have been a little harsh i quess. I'm not closed minded. I guess since your a business major your mind is all cluttered with traditional methods. I mean teachers need to teach something. They teach what they have been taught. You believe in the system, and I hope it works for you, and from the anger in your writing im guessing your latin or asian. I apologize if your offended but dont you want to break free of traditional ways and try something new and ground breaking? Oh and for the record people dont like to be told what to buy. Thats why we turn the channel when the commercials come on. I respect your opinion and I hope you succeed in your endevors. Just think about this... if you follow your teachings you will be just like everyone else in your line of work. Good luck landing a job like that. I wish you the best. Thanks for commenting.
Im not saying I dont want to advertise I just want to find a new way of doing it. I dont want to use traditional methods. I want to try and create a new concept all together. Your missing my point. In case you havent noticed the nations of the world are going broke. Globalization dosent work if the globe has a bad economy, unless your china. If you want to learn chinese go ahead. Follow your professor's teachings. Be another follower of everyone elses examples(google, Mcdonalds).Dont create your own examples for everyone else to follow. You can speak their languge all you want...I would rather them speak mine. At least that puts me at the top as a leader and an innovator.
